Exacaster’s team is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Genesis team.

About the role: 
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Data Scientist to lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge generative AI solutions that drive significant business impact. This role involves architecting and building robust, scalable AI-powered systems, primarily leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), and mentoring junior team members.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, a strategic mindset, and the ability to lead and mentor others. A minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in machine learning and data science, with at least 1+ years specifically focused on Generative AI, is expected.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Lead the design and architecture of Generative AI solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term strategic goals.
• Develop and deploy complex data processes and solutions based on Generative AI models, taking ownership of the full development lifecycle.
• Design, develop, and maintain advanced knowledge bases using vector embeddings, optimizing for performance and scalability.
• Drive the optimization of existing Generative AI processes and models, focusing on performance, scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation — including technical specifications, architectural diagrams, user guides, and presentations — to communicate complex Gen AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and data scientists, providing guidance and fostering best practices in Generative AI development.
• Lead the establishment of best practices and standards for Generative AI-based process development within the organization, influencing technical direction.
• Conduct research and stay at the forefront of advancements in Generative AI and machine learning, evaluating and recommending new technologies and approaches.
• Propose, prototype and lead new GenAI projects and initiatives.

We are looking for a person who has:

• 4+ years of experience in developing and implementing Data Science processes in production.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in developing and implementing processes based on generative AI models, with proven expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-4o, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, and similar. Demonstrated experience deploying these models in production environments is essential.
• Expert proficiency in Python, with extensive experience using GenAI and machine learning libraries and frameworks such as LangChain, LangServe, Streamlit, Chainlit, and others.
• Understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Understanding of cloud-based platforms and services (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), with experience deploying and managing AI/ML models in the cloud.
• Experience working with vector databases and vector search capabilities (Pinecone, Azure AI Search, Amazon OpenSearch, vector search extensions in relational databases, etc.), including performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and design solutions (develop innovative AI solutions) that deliver measurable value.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently, lead initiatives, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment on several concurrent projects.

• Demonstrated interest in Research and Development (R&D): A passion for exploring cutting-edge technologies and contributing to innovative projects.
• Experience with specific industry applications of GenAI (e.g., telco, finance, e-commerce).
• Contributions to open-source projects related to GenAI.
• Experience with model fine-tuning and customization techniques for LLMs.
• Experience leading and/or managing technical teams.
• Experience with developing and deploying AI-powered applications at scale.
