Junior Backend Engineer

Exacaster’s team is looking for a Junior Backend Engineer to join our Kittyhawk team.

About the role: 

We are seeking a Junior Backend Engineer with a foundational knowledge of Java and Spring to assist with backend support and simple tasks across both our legacy and new products. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and enjoys problem-solving in a collaborative environment.

You would be joining our Product team, helping us to build our data platform product by applying your skills and best practices in software development. Product team is building an AI based product that drives customer value growth and empowers managers to execute business strategy effectively. Our Customer 360 Data Platform centralizes and automates customer data management to address specific Telcos business cases - next best offer recommendations, churn prediction, omnichannel customer experience and many other cases.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Assist Backend Engineers with support tasks and simple development assignments.
• Collaborate with the team to contribute to project goals and learn best practices.
• Provide Support for both our legacy and new products built with Java and Spring.
• Engage in Problem-Solving to troubleshoot issues and improve system performance.

We are looking for a person who has:

• Fundamental knowledge of Java and Spring.
• Fundamental knowledge of Git.
• Eager to learn and develop new skills.
• Enjoys problem-solving.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Bonus points if you have:

• Knowledge of AWS (or other cloud environment).
• Knowledge of Gitlab.
