Full Stack Engineer (Java/React)

Exacaster’s team is looking for a Full Stack Engineer (Java/React) to join our Kittyhawk team.

About the role: 

You would be joining our Product team as our new Full Stack Engineer, helping us to build our data platform product by applying your skills and best practices in software development. Product team is building an AI based product that drives customer value growth and empowers managers to execute business strategy effectively. Our Customer 360 Data Platform centralizes and automates customer data management to address specific Telcos business cases - next best offer recommendations, churn prediction, omnichannel customer experience and many other cases.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Develop and refine the React frontend, ensuring effective communication with backend systems.
  • Design, build, and maintain Java backend services, ensuring seamless integration with data processing jobs.
  • Work closely with team members across disciplines to achieve product goals and maintain clear lines of communication.
  • Identify and resolve issues in the application, enhancing both backend and frontend performance and scalability.
  • Take full responsibility for the entire project lifecycle, actively driving progress and ensuring project success.

We are looking for a person who has:

  • Proficiency in Java for backend development, with extensive experience in frameworks like Spring Boot, Micronaut or similar technologies for building scalable microservices.
  • Experience with React for building dynamic and responsive frontend interfaces.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Knowledge of database technologies, both SQL (like MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (like MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of Apache Kafka for building real-time data streaming applications.
  • Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for deploying and managing applications.
  • Understanding of containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of web security practices and performance optimisation.
